If you have encountered the following error while installing the program:
".../Microsoft Shared/DAO/DAO350.DLL/Dao350.cnl. You must check
your disk space or that you have access to this address."
Resolving this issue will require that you rename a folder on your computer and then copy some files from that folder to a new one created by the installation program. The procedure may look complicated but it is actually very simple. We have broken it into several simple steps that are easy to follow even if you are not very experienced with computers. If you have any questions or problems with this procedure, please call 1-888-636-0095 for support. The steps are as follows:
1. Close all applications, and on the Desktop, double click on your "My Computer" (or whatever it has been renamed to) icon to open a browser window.
2. Double click on the "C:" drive icon in this window.
3. Double click on the folder named "Program Files".
4. Double click on the folder named "Common Files".
5. Double click on the folder named "Microsoft Shared".You are now in the folder with the path,
C:/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared.
6. In this folder there is a folder named "DAO". You must rename this folder and then re-install the software. To rename the folder, point to it and click the right mouse button to display a menu. Near the bottom of this menu is the command "Rename". Select this command. You should now be able to edit the name of the folder. Type the new name as "DAO_sav" and press the [Enter] key. The folder should be renamed. Do NOT close the folder window at this time.
NOTE: On some XP systems, renaming the DAO folder will cause an error to be displayed, and the name will not be able to be changed. To be able to change the name, you must restart your computer, press F8 when Windows starts loading, and select "Safe Mode" when a startup menu is displayed. This will start Windows in a minimal state. You should be able to perform steps 1-6 now. After renaming the folder, restart the computer and let Windows start up normally.
7. Run the Exercise Explorer program installation. It should successfully install now.
Now you must copy files from the folder that you renamed to a new folder created by the setup program. To do this you use the following steps:
8. Refresh the browser window by clicking on the "View" menu item and the top of the browser and selecting "Refresh" (or re-open if you closed it...steps 1-5) . You will notice a new folder named "DAO" as well as the one you named "DAO_sav".
9. Double click on the folder named "DAO_sav". You will see several files in this folder. To view them all you may have to enlarge the browser window.
10. Now select all of the files by clicking on the "Edit" menu item and selecting "Select All" from the list. You will notice that all of the item have been highlighted. (You may also do this by holding the [CTL] key and pressing [A].
11. Now click on the "Edit" menu and select "Copy". (This may also be done by holding the [CTL] key and pressing [C]). Now the files are ready to copy into the new folder named "DAO".
12. Navigate to the folder named "DAO". To do this you may click on the "UP" folder icon or the
back arrow at the top of the browser, or follow steps 1 through 5, then double click on the folder "DAO".
13. Once you have opened the new folder "DAO" click on the "Edit" item from the menu at the top of the browser and select "Paste". If you are asked if it should overwrite a file click NO.
Once the copying has finished your installation is complete. You may close the browser windows that were used for this procedure.
