Q: I encounter the following error while installing my program: ".../Microsoft Shared/DAO/DAO350.DLL/Dao350.cnl. You must check your disk space or that you have access to this address." What do I do? A: If you experience this problem during installation you will must rename some folders and move some file on you computer. Click HERE for detailed instructions. Q: Is my personal information safe? A: Yes. Any personal information we receive from you is used only to provide you with the highest quality service available. All sensitive information such as credit cards is encrypted for secure transmission. See our privacy policy for more details about the use of all information that you provide. Q: Why can't I see the bottom portion of the screen where the launcher is located? A: You are probably running at 800x600 screen resolution, and the bottom of the screen is covererd by the Windows Start Menu bar. If you place your cursor on the edge of the bar, it will change into an up and down arrow and you can press the mouse button and drag it down until it is small. You can drag it up when you want to make it visible again. Q: Why do the exercise and instructional videos not play smoothly? A: All the videos used in Exercise Explorer are stored on your hard disk. If you are having problem with viewing the videos, you probably need to change your QuickTime settings in the Control Panel, or the display settings on your computer. The User's Manual has a complete description of how to make theses changes. Q: Can I add or modify exercises in the system? A: Yes. Any exercise with any equipment can be added into the system. Exercise card pictures and exercise videos can also be added. In addition, any exercise can be modified as desired. This is not a trivial process, since there is a lot of information stored about each exercise, but an easy-to-use wizard will guide you through the entire process. Q: How are the exercises presented? Are the muscles used in an exercise easy to see? A: Exercises are presented in a number of ways. There is an exercise details screen where any exercise can be selected. The instructions, cautions, level, and type of the selected exercise are displayed along with a high quality video. A ranked list of body actions that are used in the exercise is displayed. A kinesological analysis of the exercise can also be viewed. Q: What equipment is required to perform the exercises in Exercise Explorer? A: There are currently 380 exercises built into Exercise Explorer. These are divided up into calisthenics (no equipment), dumbbells, barbells, flexible bands, gym machines, and stability ball exercises. Exercises can be selected by equipment if desired. We periodically add new equipment and exercises. Q: How does Exercise Explorer choose the best exercises for a particular activity? A: All of the exercises in Exercise Explorer are broken down in detail into the body actions that comprise the exercise. All the activities are also broken down in a similar manner. The equipment available for a user, and the fitness level for the user is also known. When building a workout for a particular activity or group of activities, the actions that comprise the activity are scored, and ranked. Exercises are then chosen to match the actions of the activity and also match the equipment requirements of the client. These exercises are then compiled into a workout. Q: As a personal trainer, how can Exercise Explorer help me? A: Exercise Explorer supplies everything you need to manage workouts for clients: Simple workout generation, printing of exercise and workout card, and performance tracking with comprehensive reports. This rich set of deliverables will help motivate and retain clients. Q: The screen is messed up or the buttons are not aligned correctly or the screen tiles (repeats) to fill the entire screen. A: The system font size needs to be set to Small Fonts or 96dpi to display screens and buttons accurately in Exercise Explorer. • Click on the Windows Start button. • Select Settings, and then select Control Panel. • Double click on the Display icon or list item in the Control Panel to open the Display Properties window. • Select the Settings tab (at the right top) from the Display Properties window, and then click the Advanced button near the lower right-hand corner to open the default Monitor Properties window. • From the General tab, select Small Fonts (or 96 dpi) from the Font Size drop-down menu, and then click OK. • If the fonts are already set to Small Fonts (96 dpi), then change the setting to Large Fonts. After it has been changed, and the Display Properties window has been closed, go back and set the fonts to Small Fonts. |
