FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: E2 Systems Introduces Exercise Explorer Academic Edition Version 2: SILVERADO, CA - October 16, 2002 - E2 Systems has taken the anatomical reference from their Professional Edition software, added academic capabilities, and combined the software with a ground breaking new textbook to create a new product for anyone interested in learning or teaching musculoskeletal anatomy. The textbook, Fitness Professionals' Guide to Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Human Movement, by Lawrence A. Golding, Ph. D., FASCM, mirrors much of the information in the software. The quizzes, blank skeletal drawings, and muscle drawings in the text can all be printed and viewed with the software. Dr. Golding, a distinguished professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Editor-in-Chief of ACSM's Health & Fitness Journal, brings over 50 years of practical experience and knowledge to Exercise Explorer. The software allows cross referencing between muscles, exercises, and activities in an easy-to-use format. It allows the quizzes in the book to be taken and scored electronically on screen, which greatly aids in the learning process. Over 325 exercises and 100 activities are included with the software, each with a detail analysis of movement. Every exercise has a digial video demonstrating the exercise. Every body action the body can make also has a video showing the action. "This book is a must for any fitness professional interested in functional anatomy and human biomechanics. It contains full-color, detailed yet easy-to-understand illustrations of the complete musculoskeletal anatomy. This book fills a professional void. It will be a key resource for personal trainers, athletic trainers, allied healthcare professionals, and students in exercise science.", says Cedric X. Bryant, Chief Exercise Physiologist/VP of Educational Services for the American Council on Exercise. The Academic Edition also features five 4 to 7-minute video lectures by Dr. Golding on muscle basics, anatomy, soreness, and strength. The software will operate on any Windows 95 or later Windows operating system. Founded in mid 2000, E2 Systems Inc. has spent the last 6 months developing the Academic Edition software. # # # |
